Three nudibranchs, Costasiella sp, sit together on a leaf. It was an incredibly difficult shot to take, as I had to wait for an hour to have them all look into relatively the same direction. Photo taken in Tulamben, Indonesia.

This photo was taken on the shores of the Windjana River, one of the last strong holds of the Australian freshwater crocodile. I used a 600 mm lens on a bean bag along with an APS-C camera to capture it. When a dragonfly started hovering around the croc’s head, I had my shot.

An iconic animal of Ethiopia's Simien Mountains: The gelada monkey. To protect themselves from leopards, they spend the night on tiny ledges on the impossibly steep cliffs of these canyons and climb back on the plateau at daybreak to graze.

The big elephant herds of Kenya's Amboseli commute daily between their night quarters on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro and the wetlands on the Amboseli Plain where they feed on succulent vegetation. During their evening commute, dust in the air is backlit by the setting sun.

In the midst of the early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara, a solitary zebra is captured silently ghosting its way through the thick fog and mist.

After the young balck eagle had eaten its fill, its attention was captured by a butterfly. The butterfly's graceful flight made the eaglet look on with envy. But the mother eagle's gaze seemed to say, "Don't worry, you'll be the greatest."

In the forests of Uganda, I filmed a group of mountain gorillas. The dominant silverback lay leisurely on the ground, observing my every move through the gaps in the foliage.

This male fox was sitting among the wildflowers watching his massive litter of seven kits frolicking at the waters edge of a big pond. I managed to capture this moment when one of the kits noticed him and bounded to greet him.

It was fascinating to watch this black and white warbler pick the spider out of its web, eat it, then proceed to sit by the web to wait for flies.

During monsoon i saw this phenomena inside the forest,i saw this bracket fungi sporulating and when i was going to captured the moment suddenly this yellow leaf moth came and sat over the bracket fungi and i captured the image.

CHEETAH RACE. Sudip Das, India.

The cheetah was hungry, searching for the perfect moment to target its prey. The moment came when it saw few wildebeest to its close proximity. The cheetah started sprinting towards a wildebeest and hunt it down with its power, speed and tremendous grip over its prey. Clicked at Masai Mara, Kenya.

Leopard Tortoise (Stigmochelys pardalis). Frightened and quickly rushing past a resting female cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) which does not show any interest at all in the little chelonian. Kalahari Desert, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, South Africa.

In the vast expanse of the Arctic, a mother polar bear orchestrates a swift pursuit, teaching her cubs the art of defending their family territory. I loved the symmetry of this picture and how they unintentionally fell into size order from biggest to smallest.

One morning, an adult specimen approached the cabins where I had the opportunity to take several photos. The morning light, the closeness of the animal and its calm but curious attitude towards me, converged in some shocking and at the same time endearing photos.

CHEETAH KGALAGADI SILLO. Willem Kruger, South Africa.

Early one morning just after we left our campsite, we came across a cheetah walking across the road. The cheetah decided to walk up a dune to get a better view of the immediate environment and some possible prey. The cheetah stopped on top of the dune to scan the area on the other side of the dune.

There were two black backed jackals hunting around this water hole. They lie waiting until they see a large flock of birds landing at the waterhole before making their move. When a large flock of birds arrive, there is usually a lot of chaos amongst the birds trying to get to the water.
