Beams of light pierce the darkness, revealing the dazzling ice of Glacier Leones under a serene canopy of twinkling stars. Encircled by mountain ranges, sprawling ice caps, and endless oceans, Patagonia it is home to some of the darkest and most vibrant night skies in the world.

MY FIRST AURORA AT 32° NORTH LATITUDE. Vittorio Maria, Italy.

I was there for a 180° pano, which I switched to a 360° when the Aurora started appearing.
I was speechless while spectating that incredible show in such an unexpected place. Probably is once in a lifetime event getting the Aurora in such a low latitude.

Some autochthon flowers called Tajinastes looked to me like they were directed towards The Cathedral, the biggest rock formation in Teide National Park, in the absolute silence and peace that the magical place always owns.

Two female orcas teaching the ropes to the pod’s newest edition. Orcas are incredibly social and family oriented beings. Being in the water with them and their newborn, you could almost feel the love oozing from the entire pod over their brand new baby. This little one was only a few weeks old.

In the winter, the Polynesian islands are full of migrating humpback whales, coming to breed and raise their babies. This young female definitely didn’t know the meaning of personal space. She kept doing circles around me until mom decided it was time to go.

A yawning female cheetah and her five six month old cubs are pictured in Madikwe Reserve, South Africa. For a cheetah to have successfully raised five cubs to six months old is quite an accomplishment because of the dangers from larger mammals in the area.

In the early morning, Lake Bled lay cloaked in a thick, mysterious fog, its beauty shrouded in silence.
Hours passed, as the sun climbed higher, the fog began to lift. Emerging like a dream, the iconic island in the middle of Lake Bled came into view.

I took this picture of two coastal brown bears fighting at Lake Clark National Park in Alaska. The fierce combat between the two bears was fun watch, especially as the tide started to rise.

This was an early morning shoot in Kenya. I like how this lake had a spooky look from the low light effect.
